Soprano
Ayana Haviv
Grammy Award–winning vocalist Ayana Haviv has sung on more than 150 film, television, and video game soundtracks, including Star Wars: The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water, Frozen II, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Lion King, Mulan, Minions, Call of Duty, Fortnite, and many more. Recent career highlights include playing an animated opera singer on Love, Death, and Robots, singing guide vocals for Disney’s Encanto and Wish, an on-camera appearance as a melodramatic wedding singer on Transparent, and singing several opera arias in addition to the iconic 1960s theme for Star Trek: Discovery, which Variety called “stunning.” The Los Angeles Times has called her “one of those unique LA musicians who does it all” and “like a soprano Dr. Who who could channel the ancient unknown.”
Originally from Israel, Ms. Haviv grew up singing in styles ranging from klezmer, to Middle Eastern, to musical theater, before being classically trained in the United States and singing with Los Angeles Opera and Los Angeles Master Chorale, both as chorister and soloist. She is also active in the new music scene in Southern California, singing in the Hear Now Festival, in the experimental vocal ensemble HEX, and with Southwest Chamber Music. This is her debut with San Francisco Symphony and CineConcerts.
