Began singing: At age 16

Musical inspirations: My first voice teacher 
If I were not a professional singer, I might be a:  Journalist, or a purveyor of gelato

Favorite composers: Rachmaninoff and Lennon/McCartney

Favorite vocal works: Mahler’s Second Symphony

When I’m not working, I enjoy: Cooking or baking (which also implies eating); running with my dog

Recent reading: The Happiness Hypothesis, by Jonathan Haidt

On my CD player/iPod: Moxy Früvous, and a John Denver homage album by a bunch of small indie rock bands called Minneapolis Does Denver
           
Favorite things to do in the Bay Area: Drinking coffee (because there are a number of good options!) and hiking around Land’s End, or any number of other places with stunning views
