Internationally renowned composer, arranger, and master of the bandoneon, Argentinian DANIEL BINELLI tours extensively in concert and recital. He is also widely acclaimed as the foremost exponent and torchbearer of the music of Astor Piazzolla. In 1989, he joined Astor Piazzolla’s New Tango Sextet, touring internationally.

Mr. Binelli has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, Sydney Symphony, Montreal Symphony, and Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, among others. His collaborations include performances with pianist Polly Ferman and guitarist Eduardo Isaac, as well as the Binelli-Ferman-Isaac Trio. He is also Musical Director of Tango Metropolis Company, featured in the PBS documentary Tango the Spirit of Argentina, and on a BBC documentary on Astor Piazzolla’s life. A seasoned composer in his own right, Mr. Binelli has created and arranged music for the concert hall, dance, and film. His versatility allowed him to work in all Tango styles and contemporary idioms. He made his San Francisco Symphony debut in 2005.
