Experience two magnificent sacred choral works in one evening, when director Ragnar Bohlin and the soulful  SF Symphony Chorus perform Handel’s Dixit Dominus and J.S. Bach’s MagnificatDixit Dominus, written in Handel’s early twenties, reveals the composer’s excitement and rich imagination as he stretches his musical wings with refreshing freedom. J.S. Bach’s multi-dimensional Magnificat is as robust as it is poised, mesmerizing in its vocal energy and imploring beauty, and sublimely joyous in its exultant conclusion.
