Esa-Pekka Salonen is an uncompromisingly original figure in music, and through his many high-profile conducting roles and powerful compositions he has refined and brought to fruition his vision for the present and future of the symphony orchestra.
Ragnar Bohlin has burnished the reputation of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus since becoming Chorus Director in 2007. Three years later, the Symphony and Chorus, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, won three Grammy awards for their smashing recording of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, including Best Choral Performance.

Recipient of Aspen Music Festival’s 2010 James Conlon Conducting Prize, Daniel Stewart is Music Director of the Santa Cruz Symphony. He has conducted the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, Saint Louis Symphony, hr-Sinfonieorchester, Frankfurt Opera-Orchestra, and the Boston Ballet.
