Costume Designer

Sarah Schuessler (Costume Designer) is a Los Angeles-based costume designer specializing in motion picture costuming, television and commercial design/styling, and original costume design for theater and opera. She has designed numerous productions for director James Darrah, including Peter Grimes with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony and Semele for Pacific MusicWorks in Seattle. Other projects include Handel's Agrippina, John Adams's A Flowering Tree, Handel's L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato, new productions of Dido and Aeneas, the West Coast premiere of Jonathan Dove's Flight, and Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years for UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television. Ms. Schuessler holds an MFA from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and a BA from the USC School of Theatre. Film and television credits include HBO's The Newsroom and Togetherness, Hulu's QuickDraw, and the films Fifty Shades Darker, La La Land, and Battle of the Sexes.
