Nancy Maultsby
Nancy Maultsby (Mrs. Sedley), a North Carolina native, is a graduate of Westminster Choir College and was a graduate student at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. She is an alumna of the Lyric Opera of Chicago's Center for American Artists. Ms. Maultsby’s 2013-14 season highlights include her role debut as Mrs. Sedley in Peter Grimes with the Saint Louis Symphony in Saint Louis and at Carnegie Hall, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Florida Orchestra, and Verdi’s Requiem with the Pacific Chorale and the Charlotte Symphony. Her recent recordings include the Lamentation from Bernstein’s Symphony No. 1, Jeremiah with the Atlanta Symphony for Telarc, Richard Yardumian’s Symphony No. 2 with the Singapore Symphony on BIS, and Wagner opera excerpts on Naxos. Other recordings include Mendelssohn’s Elijah on the Forlane label and Mozart's Requiem and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the Boston Baroque on Telarc. Ms. Maultsby made her San Francisco Symphony debut in 1992.
