Countertenor

Countertenor Brian Cummings recently appeared in the title role of Handel's Giulio Cesare with Opera Fuoco. Recent and upcoming engagements include John Adams’s The Gospel According to the Other Mary with the Netherlands Radio Orchestra. Mr. Cummings resides in Paris where he studies with Guillemette Laurens and sings with ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants, Opera Fuoco, Ensemble Entheos, and Les Muses Galantes. He has collaborated with director Timothy Nelson, appeared as a soloist at the Washington and Bloomington early music festivals, and sung with Theatre of Voices and the Pro Arte Singers, under Paul Hillier. He sang the premiere of The Gospel According to the Other Mary in 2012 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and made his SFS debut in the North American premiere of El Niño in 2001. Mr. Cummings studied Early Music at Indiana University.
