Vocalist

Canadian soprano Mikaela Bennett is a recent graduate of the Juilliard School, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree under Edith Wiens. This season at Juilliard she played Celia in Haydn’s La Fedeltà premiata and covered the role of Poppea in Handel’s Agrippina. Ms. Bennett recently made her professional stage debut as Penelope in John Latouche and Jerome Moross’s The Golden Apple with City Center Encores!. Other recent appearances include Michael Tilson Thomas’s Four Preludes on Playthings of the Wind with the New World Symphony, her Joe’s Pub debut on a program of new works by composer Lance Horne, and a program entitled Harry, Hoagy, and Harold with New York Festival of Song. These performances mark her SFS debut.
