Elisabeth Brauss
As a member of the BBC New Generation Artist (NGA) Scheme, ELISABETH BRAUSS has had many solo, chamber, and concerto engagements across the UK. In 2021 she made her debut at the BBC Proms, performing music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with the BBC Philharmonic. She was recently awarded the Terence Judd-Hallé Award, given to an NGA graduate on the cusp of a major international career.
This season, Ms. Brauss debuts with the Hallé Orchestra, Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg, and the Göttingen Symphony. In recent seasons she has also performed with BBC Symphony, BBC Scottish Symphony, and Ulster Orchestra, in addition to dates with Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, and Frankfurt Radio Symphony in her native Germany. In 2017, her debut CD was released by OehmsClassics, and since then, she has gone on to release three more albums, collaborating with cellist Valentino Worlitzsch, trumpet player Simon Höfele, and the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. This performance marks her debut under San Francisco Symphony auspices.
