Conductor

PAOLO BORTOLAMEOLLI is Associate Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Music Director of Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Esperanza Azteca in Mexico, and Principal Guest Conductor of Filarmónica de Santiago in Chile. He conducts regularly across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. With the Los Angeles Philharmonic, he has conducted at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, and led Meredith Monk’s inventive opera, Atlas. He makes his San Francisco Symphony debut with this performance.

Mr. Bortolameolli has given a TED Talk and recently released his first book, Rubato: procesos musicales y una playlist personal. He holds degrees from the Yale School of Music, Peabody Institute, and Universidad Católica de Chile.
