Overview

Hosted by the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra at Davies Symphony Hall, the Bay Area Youth Orchestra Festival (BAYOF) showcases some of the region's most talented youth ensembles. Proceeds from the event benefit charitable organizations that provide support to homeless and underserved youth in each orchestra’s local community.

The concert features performances by each participating orchestra and concludes with a performance by the Festival Orchestra, comprising representatives from all five participating ensembles. The Festival Orchestra is conducted by Radu Paponiu, Wattis Foundation Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra and Festival Director for BAYOF 2027.
