A passionate communicator, Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser brings clarity and meaning to the concert hall, fostering deep connections between audiences and performers. He is concurrently the Resident Conductor of Engagement and Education of the San Francisco Symphony, Barrett Principal Education Conductor and Community Ambassador of the Toronto Symphony, Artist in Residence and Community Ambassador of Symphony Nova Scotia, and Principal Youth Conductor and Artistic Partner of Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra. He previously served as assistant conductor of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and associate conductor of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. Host of Canadian Broadcasting Company’s (CBC) nationally broadcast weekly radio show Centre Stage, he is also the subject of a multi award-winning CBC documentary Disruptor Conductor, focusing on his efforts to extend the boundaries of the orchestral music world through concerts for neurodiverse, incarcerated, African diaspora, and LGBTQ2S+ populations.

The San Francisco Boys Chorus (SFBC) is an internationally acclaimed Grammy-award winning nonprofit music education and performing arts organization at the heart of San Francisco's cultural center. Founded in 1948, SFBC is one of the oldest nonprofit choral arts organizations in the country and the largest chorus for boys in the western United States. SFBC’s mission is to provide music education, vocal training, and performance experiences at the highest artistic level to Bay Area boys from all cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. The chorus serves more than 150 singers from 50 Bay Area cities and more than 100 schools at four Bay Area campuses. The Concert Chorus tours both nationally and internationally and has performed for US presidents and foreign dignitaries.

Founded in 1986 by Terrance Kelly, the mission of the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Inc. (OIGC) is to inspire joy and unity among all people through Black gospel and spiritual music traditions. Weaving together more than 300 singers ages 5 to 100 across multiple choirs from a wide range of faiths, races, and cultures, every performance helps to preserve and advance Black gospel music and spirituals. OIGC’s Community Engagement Program, featuring inclusive choirs like the Oakland Interfaith Community Choir and Kids Choir, reaches underserved communities. In 2022, the organization incorporated the Oakland Youth Chorus into the Interfaith Youth Choir, expanding its youth program to five ensembles. Bass Chung-Wai Soong began his singing career with Australia’s Victoria State Opera Chorus. He has performed as soloist with West Bay Opera, Victoria State Opera, Cappella SF, and Volti vocal ensemble. He has been a soloist in the Requiems of Fauré, Mozart, and Dvořák, Berlioz’s L’Enfance du Christ, and the Handel roles of Zebul in Jephtha and Gobrias in Belshazzar. Highlights include performances as First Nazarene in Salome, Sadistic Sailor in Missy Mazzoli’s Breaking the Waves, Elijah in the world premiere of Meira Warshauer’s Elijah’s Violin, and Gran Sacerdote in Nabucco. He joined the San Francisco Symphony Chorus in 1994 and made his San Francisco Symphony solo debut in 2005.

Under the combined leadership of SF Ballet School Director Grace Holmes and Artistic Director Tamara Rojo, San Francisco Ballet School has a dual mission: to train classical ballet dancers capable of joining the ranks of SF Ballet and other world-renowned companies and to offer young children and adults in the Bay Area an introduction to ballet and the joy of moving to music. San Francisco Ballet School offers a challenging curriculum, taught by faculty members drawn from the ranks of San Francisco Ballet and companies around the world. The School benefits from its close relationship with the Company and is a fundamental part of the institution—nearly 70% of the Company’s dancers are trained at SF Ballet School. The School emphasizes strong classical technique, a flow of movement, and athleticism that suggests a sense of energy, freedom, and joy. Kugelplex aims to sustain and evolve the ecstatic musical traditions of the old-world klezmers through performing music that dismantles cultural boundaries spanning Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Kugelplex has performed with Joan Baez, Frank London, Kitka, and the Oakland and San Francisco symphonies, among others.

Fusing elements of cirque acrobatics, classical dance, and contemporary theater, Troupe Vertigo brings audiences on a spellbinding journey through the world of artistic movement. Consisting of world-class aerial artists, contortionists, and ballet dancers, the Los Angeles–based company was founded in 2009 by Artistic Director Aloysia Gavre, formerly of Cirque du Soleil, and Technical Director Rex Camphuis, whose background is with the fabled Pickle Family Circus. Recent appearances include the Baltimore Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Oregon Symphony, and Seattle Symphony.
