Event Description
Hilary Hahn performs Johannes Brahms’ ardent Violin Concerto. In his SF Symphony debut, Rafael Payare leads Richard Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben, an impassioned portrait of man’s successes and failures, told with a flair for the dramatic. And William Grant Still’s Darker America depicts Black Americans’ journey from sorrow to triumph.
