Balter’s work recounts the Greek myth of the legendary trickster flutist Pan while revealing the machinations that gave him his powers.
For this performance—which features a version of the piece specifically for her collaboration with the San Francisco Symphony—Chase and the Orchestra partner with Amateur Music Network, Casa Círculo Cultural, Openhouse, San Francisco Conservatory of Music and San Francisco State University School of Music who will perform the piece alongside Chase.
This concert is held in the SF Symphony's SoundBox space.
