Europe's first majority black and minority ethnic professional orchestra makes its SF Symphony debut in a concert featuring acclaimed pianist and composer Stewart Goodyear. Ghanian-German conductor Kevin John Edusei leads the Chineke! Orchestra in renowned African-British composer Coleridge-Taylor's Ballade in A minor as well as one of Brahms' sunniest works—the Symphony No. 2. Goodyear takes center stage as soloist in his own work, Callaloo, a tour de force for piano and orchestra that features irresistible jazz rhythms and orchestral colors.
Please note Stewart Goodyear is the featured performer in this concert. Sheku Kanneh-Mason does not appear in this presentation.

Presented in partnership with the San Francisco Arts Commission.
