Event Description

New Zealand-born conductor Gemma New joins forces with the Grammy Award-winning SF Symphony, Chorus, and soloists in concerts featuring Beethoven’s monumental Ninth Symphony. A work of stunningly grand scale, and boasting demanding technique and the glorious choral finale Ode “To Joy,” this awe-inspiring symphony is widely considered the most iconic work in classical music.
