Post-post-modern diva Meow Meow has hypnotized, inspired, and terrified audiences globally with unique creations and sell-out seasons from New York’s Lincoln Center and Berlin’s Bar Jeder Vernunft to London’s West End and the Sydney Opera House. Her award-winning solo works have been curated by David Bowie, Pina Bausch, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and numerous international arts festivals.

As well as being a prolific music and theater creator, she specializes in the Weimar repertory and French chanson, and recently appeared as Titania in Emma Rice’s revolutionary production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare’s Globe. She performed in Black Rider as part of the 2017 Melbourne Festival presented in association with Victorian Opera and Malthouse Theatre.

Meow recently performed at the Berlin Philharmonic with Pink Martini, at the Brighton Festival with Souvenir—a fantastical song cycle she wrote with composers Jherek Bischoff and August Von Trapp—at the Theatre Royal, and she conjured a bespoke creation for Liverpool Culture’s Sgt Pepper at 50 involving the city’s brass bands, a riot, a requiem in a graveyard, and her Sleepless Beauties, including designer Andrea Lauer. 

Meow comes direct from her concerts with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall, and her original work Apocalypse Meow at Shakespeare’s Globe. She made her San Francisco Symphony debut in 2015 when she co-curated a cabaret-inspired show with conductor Edwin Outwater for the SoundBox series.

Raised in rural Indiana, Pink Martini bandleader Thomas M. Lauderdale began piano lessons at age six with Patricia Garrison. When his family moved to Portland, OR in 1982, he began studying with Sylvia Killman, who to this day continues to serve as his coach and mentor. He has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras and ensembles, including the Oregon Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Portland Youth Philharmonic, Chamber Music Northwest, and Oregon Ballet Theatre. 

In 2008, he played Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F with the Oregon Symphony under the direction of Christoph Campestrini. Mr. Lauderdale returned as soloist with the Oregon Symphony in multiple concerts in 2011, and again in 2015, under the direction of Carlos Kalmar. In 2017, he and his partner Hunter Noack created and performed a two-piano arrangement of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with choreographer Nicolo Fonte for Oregon Ballet Theatre. He made his San Francisco Symphony debut with Pink Martini in 2006.

Active in Oregon politics from his student days at U.S. Grant High School, Mr. Lauderdale graduated with honors from Harvard with a degree in history and literature in 1992. He founded Pink Martini in 1994 to play political fundraisers for progressive causes such as civil rights, the environment, affordable housing, and public broadcasting. In addition to his work with Pink Martini, he is currently working on three different recording projects with singer Meow Meow, the surf band Satan’s Pilgrims, and singer/civil rights leader Kathleen Saadat.

In 2008, Mr. Lauderdale completed his first film score, for Chiara Clemente’s documentary Our City Dreams, a portrait of five New York City-based women artists of different generations. In 2016, he created the score and three featured songs for the Belgian film Souvenir, starring Isabelle Huppert.

Mr. Lauderdale currently serves on the boards of the Oregon Symphony, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Oregon Historical Society, Confluence Project with Maya Lin, and the Derek Rieth Foundation. He lives with his partner Hunter Noack in downtown Portland, OR.

Yair Evnine is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed, recorded, produced, and written for many theatrical and musical artists, including Duncan Sheik, Sara Bareilles, Meow Meow, Alan Cumming, Lady Rizo, Taylor Mac, Justin Bond, and Spencer Day. He has performed as a musician in various musical theater productions, including the La Jolla Playhouse production of Duncan Sheik’s The Nightingale, and Theatre Aspen’s developmental workshop and reading of Mr. Shiek’sSheik’s Alice By Heart. Currently, he appears on Broadway in Sara Bareilles’s Waitress, for which he also co-orchestrated the score.

Carmine Covelli is a member of the alternative rock band The Julie Ruin fronted by feminist icon Kathleen Hanna, with whom he has toured the world and performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Last Call with Carson Daly. He can also be seen behind the drums for comedy/cabaret superstar Bridget Everett and The Tender Moments and he appeared in the Comedy Central special Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder in July 2015. He was also featured in an episode of Inside Amy Schumer with Ad-Rock and Bridget Everett. In 2004 he collaborated on a dozen live performance videos with the electronic dance band Le Tigre, toured with the band, and was the cinematographer on their feature tour documentary Who Took The Bomp? Le Tigre On Tour, distributed by Oscilloscope Laboratories in 2011.
