Biography
Scott Foglesong
Scott Foglesong is chair of music theory and musicianship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Contributing Writer for the San Francisco Symphony’s program book. He also writes program notes for the California Symphony, Las Vegas Philharmonic, New Hampshire Music Festival, and Left Coast Ensemble. At SFCM, he won the Sarlo Family Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching, and he has taught at UC Berkeley’s Fall Program for First Semester and at the Fromm Institute at the University of San Francisco. A pianist, he studied at the Peabody Conservatory and at SFCM.
