Overview
Join us for a celebration of Latin American music and culture featuring lobby installations by local artists. The dynamic concert program features traditional music with contemporary works honoring the rich heritage of this ancient holiday. The event is curated by longtime collaborator Martha Rodríguez-Salazar.Festivities begin at 1:30pm with art installations and altars created by local artists, and family friendly activities such as sugar skull decorating, tissue-flower making, and a Mariachi instrument petting zoo begin when doors open.

Art Installation: Día de los Muertos
Peruse dedicated altars and festive art installations created by local artists for the San Francisco Symphony’s annual Día de los Muertos concert on Saturday, November 2. On display October 18 – November 10.
Custom Cocktail
Celebrate Día de los Muertos with a custom drink inspired by the holiday. Kids can enjoy La Catrinita, a purple pineapple and lime non-alcoholic drink, while grownups can add tequila for a La Catrina margarita. Festive themed snacks for the holiday, including skull cookies, will also be available.

Head to Davies Symphony Hall’s First Tier lobby for a photography exhibit exploring the intersection of nature and art, with artwork by First Exposures. On display Sep 19–Nov 2.
