Highlights of Bomsori’s 2022–23 season include appearances with the New York Philharmonic, a tour with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, concerts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and debuts with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and Gulbenkian Orchestra. She performs several concerts in Germany with the Basel Chamber Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Chamber Orchestra. She made her San Francisco Symphony debut in the February 2022 Lunar New Year concert.

In addition to winning the 62nd ARD International Music Competition, Bomsori has won prizes at the Tchaikovsky International Competition, Queen Elisabeth Competition, International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition, Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition Hannover, and other competitions. She has also received awards from the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; the Korean Music Association; and the Foundation Academia Platonica.

In 2021 Bomsori signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon and released her first solo album, Violin on Stage, with NFM Wrocław Philharmonic. Her 2019 duo album with pianist Rafał Blechacz won the Fryderyk Award for Best Polish Album Abroad.

Born in South Korea, Bomsori earned a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University, as well as a master’s degree and artist diploma from the Juilliard School. She performs on the Guarneri del Gesù violin “ex-Moller,” Cremona, 1725, on extended loan through the generous efforts of the Samsung Foundation of Culture of Korea and the Stradivari Society of Chicago.

Thomas Hoppe has performed with Itzhak Perlman, Antje Weithaas, Tabea Zimmermann, Alban Gerhardt, Jens Peter Maintz, and Frans Helmerson, among others. He completed his studies at the Juilliard School, where he was a longtime studio pianist for Dorothy DeLay and Itzhak Perlman.

For almost two decades, Mr. Hoppe has also served as piano partner for international competitions, such as the Queen Elisabeth Compeitition, the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hannover, the Indianapolis Violin Competition, and the Singapore Violin Competition. He teaches masterclasses in piano accompaniment and chamber music worldwide, most recently as a lecturer at the Zhuhai Violin Festival 2020 in China and as a jury member at the Trondheim Chamber Music Competition TICC 2019.

As pianist of the ATOS Trio, Mr. Hoppe performs worldwide and has won many awards since the group’s inception in 2003. Other collaborators include the Shanghai Quartet, the Modigliani Quartet, the Mandelring Quartet, and the Simply Quartet.
