SAN FRANCISCO, CA—The San Francisco Symphony today announces updated safety protocols for audiences attending live performances at Davies Symphony Hall in August 2021, requiring all patrons to present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to ushers upon arrival at the hall. In accordance with health and safety guidelines from the City and County of San Francisco and at the advice of the Symphony’s Health & Safety Task Force, the San Francisco Symphony will once again require audiences to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the performance date, beginning with the concert on Friday, August 6 conducted by Xian Zhang and featuring pianist George Li. More information about Patron Safety at Davies Symphony Hall can be found here.
The San Francisco Symphony has undertaken appropriate modifications to comply with current health and safety protocols provided by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. These measures include increased cleaning before performances and a no-touch or low-touch experience. As required by the City and County of San Francisco, a face covering is required for entry into Davies Symphony Hall and must be worn at all times. Face masks must completely cover nose and mouth and have ear loops or similar to hold in place. Gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable.
Tickets for San Francisco Symphony concerts can be purchased online via sfsymphony.org or by calling the SF Symphony Box Office at 415-864-6000.
