MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
What is a San Francisco Symphony membership?
With a donation of $100 or more to the SF Symphony’s Annual Fund, you will become a member and join a group of passionate donors dedicated to supporting the future of our orchestra. As a member, you will receive access to a diverse range of opportunities to engage with the Symphony, like complimentary tickets to performances and events to learn about our musicians and programming. Membership offerings are dependent on your giving level. For more information, visit sfsymphony.org/membership.
How long is my membership?
Memberships are 12 months from the date of your contribution. We encourage you to renew early or on time so that membership opportunities are not disrupted or discontinued.
Do ticket donations or sponsoring a fundraising event count towards a SF Symphony annual membership?
Donations associated with tickets or fundraising events do not count towards a membership. You will still receive a gift acknowledgement for your contribution but you won’t be eligible for the opportunities that come with a membership.
What is the difference between a subscriber and a member?
A subscriber supports the Symphony through purchasing a subscription package of concert tickets. A member is a donor who has made a donation to the Symphony at the Friends Community level or above.

MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
I am now a member. When will I receive communication about my membership offerings?
Donors will receive membership information within the first month of being a member. Information will include your membership offerings, and how to redeem them.
How do I redeem my complimentary tickets associated with my membership?
Members will receive an email with a link to redeem your complimentary tickets usually in October and February each Symphony season. If you have issues claiming your tickets online, contact Donor Support at [email protected] or 415.503.5444, option 3.
What if I cannot attend any complimentary concerts offered as a part of my membership offerings?
Contact Donor Support at [email protected] or 415.503.5444, option 3. We will assist you with providing another option.
How do I RSVP for upcoming donor events?
RSVP at [email protected] for upcoming events associated with your membership level.
When does early access to the single ticket presale start for donors?
Receive access to purchase single tickets before they go on sale to the general public. The single ticket presale usually occurs each June before the start of a new season. You will receive communication with more information when the time comes.

Is my donation for my membership tax-deductible?
Yes! Donations are 100% tax deductible. The San Francisco Symphony is an I.R.C. 501(c)(3) public charity and California nonprofit public benefit corporation. Our Tax ID is 94-1156284.
When will I receive a gift acknowledgment letter for my donation?
A tax acknowledgement letter will be emailed to you approximately two weeks after receiving your contribution. If you would like a hard copy mailed to you, please contact [email protected].
Do you accept matching gifts through my employer?
Yes! Learn how you can make a matching gift at sfsymphony.org/Donate-Volunteer/Company-Matches.
How do I give through my DAF (Donor Advised Funds)?
To make a gift through your Donor Advised Fund, contact your DAF provider to initiate a grant or use the DAFpay button on our website at sfsymphony.org/Donate-SFS/Donate. We are set up to receive grants from many DAF managing institutions. Please provide our organization name and address at San Francisco Symphony, 201 Van Ness Avenue, San Francsico, CA 94102 and our Tax ID, which is #94-1156284.
