The San Francisco League’s annual Fiesta Día de los Muertos fundraising event returns with an exciting concert, reception, and seated dinner on November 5!
Join us at Davies Symphony Hall to explore large-scale art installations handcrafted by local artists and curated by longtime collaborator Martha Rodríquez-Salazar. Snap a photo with one of the dazzling catrines and catrinas who stroll about the lobby, and enjoy more interactive family fun before the concert. Conducted by Carlos Miguel Prieto, the performance features traditional and contemporary Latin American music performed by special guest Pacho Flores with the SF Symphony.
Fiesta fundraising packages include the Día de los Muertos concert, followed by a lively reception and seated dinner at San Francisco’s beloved Don Ramon’s, where the Community Music Center Mariachi, featuring members of CMC's Mission District Young Musicians Program and the SFUSD Mariachi Program, will perform. Valet parking will be provided after the concert at Don Ramon's for all Fiesta guests.
Proceeds from Fiesta Día de los Muertos support the Symphony’s artistic, education, and community programs, including Adventures in Music, which provides free music education to every K–5 student in the SF Unified School District; Music and Mentors, which provides assistance to every instrumental music program in SF’s public middle- and high schools; the UCSF Music in the Wards program, which shares musical performances with hospital patients and staff; and many other important programs.
