Abigail Nims
Abigail Nims’s recent and upcoming performances include Messiah with the Portland Baroque Orchestra and the Colorado Bach Ensemble, a gala concert with the Johnstown Symphony, Bach’s Mass in B minor with the Boulder Bach Festival, and recital appearances at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she is currently a member of the voice faculty. Her recordings include Martin Bresnick’s song cycle Falling and the role of Veruca Salt in Peter Ash’s The Golden Ticket, both on Albany Records. She also appears in Boston Baroque’s recording of Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria on Linn Records. Ms. Nims holds degrees from Yale School of Music, Westminster Choir College, and Ohio Wesleyan University. She was a Virginia Adams Fellow at the Carmel Bach Festival, an apprentice artist at Santa Fe Opera, and a young artist with Opera North. She made her San Francisco Symphony debut in 2011 and returned last June for Britten’s Peter Grimes.
