Chip Abbott
Chip Abbott (Choreography Restaging) is a NYC-based choreographer and dancer who grew up in the Lake Tahoe area. His performance career spans the worlds of concert dance, commercial dance, and Broadway. Mr. Abbott served as assistant choreographer and dance captain to Joshua Bergasse on the Broadway revival of On the Town (a Tony nominee for best choreography). Other credits include the national tours of Andy Blankenbuelher’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and performances at the Kennedy Center, Madison Square Garden, and in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York City. Mr. Abbott’s choreography has been seen at Gus Giordano’s Jazz Dance World Congress and he has choreographed works for Houston Met Too and University of Central Oklahoma. He has taught at his alma mater Oklahoma City University, as well as Boston Conservatory, Michigan State University, and Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
