Event Description
Celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dog with the San Francisco Symphony at this family event that draws on both ancient and contemporary traditions. Arrive at 2pm for the activity-filled Festival Reception with Chinese instruments, lion dancing, "lucky" red envelopes, entertainment, tea bars, sweet and savory bites, and more.
Continue the festivities after the concert by purchasing a ticket to the dramatic and exciting Imperial Dinner. Call the San Francisco Symphony Volunteer Council for details at 415-503-5500.
Purchase Imperial Dinner Tickets
Proceeds from this event support the San Francisco Symphony’s education and community programs, which reach over 75,000 Bay Area elementary, middle, and high school students each year.
Dinner tickets include access to the Festival Reception, premium seating at the Chinese New Year Concert, and the Imperial Dinner. These tickets will be mailed 2 weeks before the event.

A Special Exhibit
The San Francisco Symphony continues their celebration of the centennial of Leonard Bernstein’s birth with this special exhibit, on display January 18 through February 28. Located on the First Tier Lobby, the exhibit examines the unique relationship between the Symphony and Bernstein as a conductor, composer, educator, activist, and friend.
