Mid-Peninsula League

About the Mid-Peninsula League

The Mid-Peninsula League of the San Francisco Symphony was founded in 1974 to support the San Francisco Symphony.  The League’s major fundraising project this season was Symphony Soiree, an elegant evening held on May 31, at the new Rosewood Hotel in Menlo Park.  In addition, the members of the League raise funds through round-robin bridge groups and bridge-luncheon tournaments.

The League also has a special music program for the Costaño School in East Palo Alto reaching more than 500 students. Member volunteers, trained as docents, engage in a six-week instructional program designed to introduce elementary children to symphonic music, prepare them for and chaperone them to the Symphony's Concerts for Kids at Davies Symphony Hall.

The members of the League meet monthly on Mondays in a private home, and meetings are followed by programs featuring Symphony musicians, speakers, or other local performers. For further information, contact Mimi Kugushev, Membership Chair, at (650) 326-3155 or via email.

Signature Cookies Cookbook

The Mid-Peninsula League published a cookie cookbook, Signature Cookies, in the fall of 2008. Our League has become known for our cookies, and our members generously shared their best recipes for this cookbook.  Copies are available by mail order. Please see attached order form (pdf).
