Saint Louis Symphony with Gil Shaham
Gil Shaham
Gil Shaham, violin

In his final symphony’s single arch of sound, Sibelius searches those recesses of the heart that were his obsession. This is music austere and generous, provocative and revelatory, like nothing else in the world. John Adams’s opera Doctor Atomic—on the birth of the atomic age—provides the foundation for his Doctor Atomic Symphony, packed with some of his most supercharged music. David Robertson returns to Davies Symphony Hall with his own orchestra and violinist Gil Shaham.
