Grammy®- and two-time Tony® Award-winning singer and composer Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening) will perform the world premiere of a suite of songs with the San Francisco Symphony from his latest work, Whisper House. The songs are from the forthcoming Whisper House musical, Sheik's follow-up to his score for the Tony-winning Broadway musical Spring Awakening. Inside Music, an informative talk free to ticketholders, begins one hour prior to concerts.
Off the Podium, an informal Q&A session with the artists, begins immediately after the Apr 8 performance.
Please note: Rufus Wainwright's Five Shakespeare Sonnets, previously scheduled with the Symphony April 7-10, has been postponed until November 2010 due to a scheduling conflict.
