Franz Schubert’s beautiful melodic writing isn’t just for soloists and art songs—hear one of Schubert’s choral treasures, the Mass in G major. Henry Brant’s spectacular arrangement of Ives that turns the complete Concord Sonata into A Concord Symphony.

Music Without Borders: A Tribute Week for the People of Haiti. Concerts on February 3-6 will include lobby chamber music performances by San Francisco Symphony musicians and information on how to support Doctors Without Borders and other relief organizations working in Haiti. Learn more.

A Tribute to Michael Steinberg, late program annotator and former San Francisco Symphony Artistic Adviser, begins at 5:30pm on Feb 6 in Davies Symphony Hall. The program is free and open to the public and includes a chamber version of the Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, and the second movement (Largo e mesto) from Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 7, Opus 10, No. 3. Learn more.
