This program features two masterpieces, one contemporary, one classic: Knussen’s Third Symphony, and Beethoven’s incomparable Ninth. Hear Knussen’s dramatic rendering of the madness and death of Shakespeare's tragic character Ophelia, and enjoy Beethoven’s renegade spirit in his choral hymn to universal brotherhood.
