Leif Ove Andsnes

Broad in scope, rich in drama and lyricism, the Piano Concerto No. 2 is a symphony in disguise. With his exquisite musical sensitivity and refusal to take the familiar for granted, Leif Ove Andsnes reminds us of why works called "masterpieces" have earned that name. In his final symphony, Brahms went as far as he could go in the genre he had mastered. The Brahms Fourth displays the composer's essence most completely: honest and uncompromising, each bar saturated with breath-stealing beauty.

Meet Leif Ove Andsnes for an exclusive CD signing immediately following the concerts of May 9 and 10 at the Symphony store in the lobby.

Pre-Concert Chamber Music one hour prior to each concert.

Ticket exchange is available for the Sun, May 11 concert only.
