Chamber Music with Thomas Adès and Members of the San Francisco Symphony

As part of a special, two-week festival of the music of Thomas Adès, the composer himself joins members of the San Francisco Symphony for an evening of chamber music. The program, curated by Adès, features his early Sonata da caccia, an homage to Debussy, and his masterly Piano Quintet, along with evocative impressionistic works by Debussy and Ravel. The program, with Adès at the keyboard, brings the outstanding musicianship of our Symphony musicians to the fore.

"Some pianists may find it almost unfair that Mr. Adès, who is first and foremost a composer, plays the piano so beautifully."
