Burt Bacharach with the San Francisco Symphony

Ladies and gentlemen, Burt Bacharach—you know his name, and you definitely know his tunes.  For over half a century, legendary pianist and composer Burt Bacharach has enriched the soundtrack of our lives, working with artists ranging from Dusty Springfield and the Beatles, to Aretha Franklin and Dionne Warwick.  His unrivaled list of hits includes “What the World Needs Now is Love,” “I Say A Little Prayer,” and “(They Long to Be) Close to You,” and as a 2012 recipient of the Library of Congress' Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, his influence on pop music is undeniably eternal.  Enjoy a festive evening this winter when the ever-brilliant Bacharach, with his band and vocalists, joins the San Francisco Symphony for two wonderful nights of holiday cheer and the music you know and love.
