Soprano Julia Bullock earned her bachelor’s from the Eastman School of Music, and her master’s at Bard College’s Graduate Vocal Arts Program. She currently studies at the Juilliard School with Edith Bers. From 2003 to 2005, she participated in the artists-in-training program with the Opera Theater of Saint Louis, and graduated with the Marielle Hubner Award. Recent and upcoming performances include the title role in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen with the Juilliard Opera and the title role in Purcell’s The Indian Queen at Teatro Real in Madrid, and appearances at the Marlboro Music Festival, the Falany Performing Arts Center in Georgia, and the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in Illinois. As a winner of the 2012 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Ms. Bullock gives debut recitals this season in the Young Concert Artists Series in New York and in Washington, DC. This week’s performances mark her San Francisco Symphony debut.
