The San Francisco Symphony Presents Great Performers
As one of the oldest musical institutions in Europe, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra — the National Orchestra of Poland — has recorded numerous albums, garnering the Orchestra three Fryderyk Awards, the Classical Internet Award, and six Grammy® award nominations. For their second concert performance at Davies Symphony Hall, the Orchestra is joined by Yulianna Avdeeva, the 2010 First Prize winner of the International Frédéric Chopin Competition — she performs Beethoven’s wildly popular Emperor Concerto, followed by the Orchestra performing Dvořák’s vivid Eighth Symphony.
