Returning to Davies Symphony Hall is American Paul Jacobs, widely known for his remarkable performances of masterpieces from Messiaen, Brahms, and more. His program features Bach’s German Organ Mass, a collection of compositions considered to be Bach's most significant work for organ. Jacobs is joined by the sparkling San Francisco Symphony Chorus, who add vocal harmony to this glorious repertoire.
“A brilliant organist [with] impressive clarity and lilting gait . . . rollicking energy and uncanny transparency," raves—THE NEW YORK TIMES
