Eisenstein’s Battleship Potemkin with Cameron Carpenter

Named the “greatest film of all time” at the Brussels World's Fair in 1958, Battleship Potemkin, directed by Sergei Eisenstein, is considered one of the most influential silent films in history. Eisenstein wrote the screenplay in 1925 as a revolutionary propaganda film, showcasing the mutiny that occurred in 1905 when a crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin rebelled against their officers. Acclaimed Organist Cameron Carpenter brings this monumental film to life, playing the score live while the film is projected above the stage at Davies Symphony Hall.
