my classic Beethoven

Everyone, everywhere, can hum the opening bars of Beethoven’s iconic Fifth Symphony. But to hear it live, performed by one of the world’s great orchestras, is an experience of the most memorable kind.  The stately and graceful Egmont Overture opens this program of Beethoven favorites. Dynamic pianist Gilles Vonsattel made an impressive debut with the SFS last summer, and he returns here to perform Beethoven’s sprightly and elegant First Piano Concerto.

Half price for ages 17 and under.
