PROGRAM CHANGE ALERT: MARCH 15, 2016

PIANIST JEREMY DENK HAS ANNOUNCED A PROGRAM CHANGE FOR HIS SOLO RECITAL, MARCH 20 AT DAVIES SYMPHONY HALL. DENK WILL PERFORM J.S. BACH’S COMPLETE GOLDBERG VARIATIONS

SAN FRANCISCO, March 15, 2016 –Pianist Jeremy Denk announced today that he will perform the complete Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach, a program change from what was previously announced, in recital March 20 at Davies Symphony Hall.

Denk’s recording of the Goldberg Variations, released on the Nonesuch label in 2013, marked a major milestone in the pianist’s long personal relationship with Bach’s dazzling celebration of the creative spirit.  Speaking of his Goldberg Variations, the Washington Post writes that Denk “is an artist of uncommon communicative ability, whose playing gives as much intellectual as sensual pleasure.”
