SAN FRANCISCO SYMPHONY’S 2018–19 CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES KICKS OFF OCTOBER 28 WITH TWO CONCERTS, AT DAVIES SYMPHONY HALL & THE GUNN THEATER AT THE PALACE OF LEGION OF HONOR

2018–19 Davies Symphony Hall Chamber Music Series includes concerts on October 28, December 16, February 3, March 10, April 28, and June 2

SFS continues its partnership with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, presenting four chamber music concerts at the Legion of Honor on October 28, December 2, March 10, and May 12

SAN FRANCISCO, CA—The San Francisco Symphony (SFS) kicks off its 2018–19 Chamber Concert Series with two concerts on October 28, one at Davies Symphony Hall and the other at the Gunn Theater at the Palace of the Legion of Honor. At Davies Hall, violinist Nadya Tichman, violist David Kim, and cellist Amos Yang perform Krzysztof Penderecki’s String Trio; percussionist Jacob Nissly and violist Jonathan Vinocour perform Michael Colgrass’ Variations for 4 Drums and Viola; and violinists David Chernyavsky and Polina Sedukh, violist Katie Kadarauch, cellist Margaret Tait, and guest pianist Asya Gulua perform Franck’s Piano Quintet in F minor. At the same time at the Legion of Honor’s Gunn Theater, violinist Alexander Barantschik, cellist Peter Wyrick, and guest pianist Anton Nel present an all-Beethoven program, which includes his Violin Sonata No.3 in E-flat Major, Cello Sonata No. 4 in C major, and Piano Trio No. 2.
