Kevin Gibbs

  Name: Kevin Gibbs
  Voice type: Tenor
  SFS Chorus member since: 2003
  Hometown: Omaha, NE
Music schools I attended: University     of Wyoming, Laramie; University of          Nebraska, Omaha

Began singing (and studying cello):  At age 8

Musical inspirations: My first voice instructor, Dwayne Price, who told me that singing baritone was a waste of my time because I had the makings of a great tenor voice!

If I were not a professional singer, I might be a: Tech Geek and a Visual Artist working with glass...both of which I currently pursue as Senior Technology Consultant and with a fledgling artist studio of kiln-cast glass.

Favorite composer: Mahler

Favorite vocal works: Bach, Mass in B minor; Corigliano, The Ghosts of Versailles; Adams, Harmonium

When I’m not working, I enjoy: Dinner parties with friends where we drink all the wine and everybody gets their hands dirty
